Well, as Darth Yan noted, Kreia was hardly the most reliable of sources. I'd chalk it up to her being a lying bitch.

KOTOR set up Revan to be a powerful Jedi Knight who was charismatic and a strategic genius, with a respectable amount of technical skill. Then KOTOR2 comes out and they start adding all kinds of shit. His strategic leadership skills turn into a near omniscience and Obsidian starts inserting slightly reworded descriptions of Anakin to describe Revan, all the shit in Kreia spouts about him in KOTOR2 you would think he was the God Emperor of Man. He went from a cunning and skilled Jedi Knight to yet another culmination of fanboy masturbation, wherein the fanboys get included in the story writing.
I never really got that impression from KotOR 2 to be honest with you. But it's been ages since I played it. And I will echo the above: Kreia has some serious credibility issues, not so much that she's a liar (although there is that), but rather the way she describes things seems very non-literal and cryptic.
To me, the biggest problem with KotOR 2 is how ridiculously powerful you become. It makes the fights in the mid to late game utterly trivial. But in general I found I enjoyed the story for KotOR 2 way more than KotOR 1.

Huh, I misread the title to be 'Kim Kardashian to write novel about Darth Revan' at first glance. Something which would be...surreal.

not to necro, but evidently they have just released the cover art for the novel

Once again, I am guessing that they are pushing him into defined territory (the color of the saber indicates a consular). I am also on the fence; I know from experience that sometimes things that seem awful later turn out to be ok or even pretty fucking awesome, but sometimes good ideas can suck. Also, the release date is apparently November 15th.

Isn't he in full Sith clothing with the mask? So why is he using a green blade instead of a red Sith blade?

i think it's supposed to be irony (the whole your greatest weapon has come to destroy you.) also, he wore the mask even as a jedi if the comics are to be believed

According to the wikia article on Revan, that's actually a Mandalorian mask that belonged to a warrior who tried to convince her fellows to spare the Cathar. In remembrance of the slaughter, Revan took the mask as his own.

yeah; it symbolizes how far revan fell before his redemption; his original motives were pure (stopping the mandalorians from committing atrocities like they had done to the Cathar) but he ended up becoming so evil that he worked with the same monster who unleashed the mandolorians in the first place. Revan is actually pretty interesting as a character and I look forward to seeing the inside of his head
