Most other genres are tolerable to pretty good, but pop country (as opposed to bluegrass; there's been a terrible murder on Music Row) grates on my ears and rap isn't music. The Top 40 aren't usually unlistenable, but I hardly seek them out. Actually, I can. It has no melodic line, and is therefore not music. If anything, it's a particularly vulgar form of poetry. It's rhythmic, but so's a car engine; that alone does not make music.
