Interesting... :?: :!: :?:

Parallel evolution... How Dalton say...

Perhaps I have seen your ship somewhere in the past...
And of it I could be inspired...
But I can't remember (with the best will) where. :(

I swear that I haven't steal your Design...

How about both of you just post some WIP shots of your projects during their early stages. That should settle things,

Nah, I have none. Never used to keep them back then because I'd never been robbed before, and my skills were somewhat lacking as you can see in the difference between this and my latest stuff. :D The model has been on my website for around 3 years now, it's been used in at least 2 screensavers (without my knowledge, I found them by accident when I downloaded them :P ), 2 rpg games and at least 1 film project that I know of, but that film project guy cut it down slightly and made more of a fighter of it. It's also been downloaded by several friends of mine and included on 1 of their websites for a time, as well as a CD collection of stuff my pal made up for Lightwavers.

Over 50,000 have visited my site now in the past 3 years, it might take a while to track stuff down but I have no doubt I can prove the mesh was made by me, it's even in my 'style'. Almost all original stuff made by someone has a recognisable style, it's something experienced guys can spot from studying other peoples meshes. I can spot stuff made by my friend Hawkhart without having to be told, and he can spot mine a mile off. I suppose it's like artists and painting, the smae thing applies. Interesting, eh?

The grilles on the back are exactly the same. This is a kitbash. Admit it.
EDIT: A link in the King Raptor thread shows that ain't original either.

So... what happens now? Maybe Crix should post pictures of each step of all his model making to prove he made them. That includes the walkers and the ISDs.

Unfortunately, I agree that these steps have to be taken. I was the one who stumbled upon the link showing the King Raptor was not an original design and was almost as shocked to learn that people didn't catch on, or didn't express it enough.

EDIT: In fact there were only two completely pointless reactions to my discovery:

I'll admit, I thought you were showing a link to his modellers page and an early design for the walker. Perhaps if you'd stated that the name nad concept weren't original therewould have been a better reaction. I don't doubt many simply made the same assumption as me and clicked on the link without realising what it meant.

Tsk...Tsk...Tsk....

You should at least be aware of what you are working with. Even if the model inspired you you need to credit the original designer. By saying, "inspired by (insert name here)".

I have to do that with my model of the Thor. I got the original part, but Illuminatus did everything else. You can never be to cautious when it comes to stuff like this.

Eh, I dunno. I thought it was very obvious why I had the little " " emoticon there. I'll just be more straightforward next time around. Hopefully there won't be a next time around. :D
