You are a fucking GENIOUS! This is hilarious, it would have provided a lot of comic relief if every few episodes the good Captain had to provide an explanation to Starfleet as to why his Political Officer just met an untimely end. Not to mention that suddenly all those Holodeck and Transporter accidents would actually make sense, instead of suggesting sloppy engineering. It would also provide an interesting angle for some of the episodes, particularly those with Q in them. "But mon Capitan, you have no choice. Unless of course you want Starfleet to know what really happened to all those Political Officers..."
