Given the multi-megaton nature of the Defiants quantum torpedoes that is likely possibility.
Just out of curiousity, in the episode where Voyagers gets hand of quantum torpedos, what was the object they blew up to test it? (and in how far was it damaged)
It was a the Voyger episode "Dreadnaught". Voyger managed to capture a Cardassian Dreadnaught for sometime and Janeway ordered salvaging quantum torpedoes from the ship. However the Dreadnaught escaped before the torpedoes could be salvaged so we never saw Voyger fire quantum torpedoes.
I have to tell you something everything I wrote above is a lie.

Hmm i mean another episode. Voyager buys/trades with another race and get a new weapons. They test it on firing upon a plate of some kind of metal IIRC. Werent that quantum torps? Or was it another weapon and did they eventually not trade for some moral issue or something?
(its all very vague, long time i saw it)

I remember that one.

They weren't QT's. Just something that looked similar.

They didn't get the weapons because the guy apparently stole some of Seven's nanoprobes. He was found innocent, then killed himself.

I'd always assumed that the new canon was removed after the deal went sour, being attacked by one of the people your dealing with can put an arms dealer off.

I believe the weapon in question is the iso-kinetic cannon.

Was it ever stated what power it had?
