Star Trek Movie Rumors (spoiler I guess)

Well it could work, especially with an idea I have for the 4th Season (which means B/B if they're still on board won't do it):

The NX-01 and her crew return to Earth only to find that they all is not well. In the aftermath of the Xindi attack, a new wave of conservatism and isolation has spread through the planet, with both politicians and civillians either wanting the NX-program to be disbanded or Earth to simply cut off all ties with the rest of the quadrant in order to prevent a repeat of the Xindi attack. Starfleet and Admiral Forrest continue with the mission, but these political elements will remain a force to be dealt with as the season goes on.

Now for the Mirror Universe kicker - A small number of these aforementioned politicans want to build Earth's strength and might rather than isolate themselves so that they may protect the planet and prevent it from ever being attacked again by imposing Earth-order on the Quadrant (same motivation as the Founders essentially) and they are the ones who approve of the continuation of the NX mission, allowing Archer to work as their unsuspecting agent.

Bah, there was a snippet in the new york times a while back that claimed Russel Crowe was going to reprise the role of Kirk in a new TOS era movie. nothing came of it.... at least as far as i know of.

Actualy the wraith of Khan era would be the TMP era. It is the era the TOS movies are set in.
