Founder intelligence

I could never worship anything unless forced to, but I sure wouldn't mind being a Founder. As corporeal sci-fi races go, they're it. I'd send them up against anybody else in sci-fi in unarmed combat (although I wonder what constitutes being unarmed for a being that can duplicate machines). I wonder - can a Founder create a phaser? We know Odo creates his commbadge. Have we ever seen him shapeshift while wearing a sidearm?

EDIT: And what about psi abilities? They create a subject's biology from the atom up, and psi abilities in Trek are clearly based in the physiology of the person who has them. So Founders should basically be able to duplicate any ability we've seen exhibited by a human or Betazoid or such. And we've seen telekinetic humans in Trek.
