I think the best was the Disrupters that were made of parst of their uniforms. That was rather brillient. The only thing that bugs me about it is why do the federation put people in their uniforms into a brig with out searching them or striping them and putting them into prisongarb. Their is a reason prisons use jumpsuits you know.

That was disapointing ..Should we show this Federation how to build a ship so we may have worthy foes? Typhonis 1

Not the best pic, but I like these. They actualy have a 'gun' feel to them.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

have to go with the D'ktagh myself. it's actually a functional, practical weapon. the disruptors are okay, but just not as cool.

Yep, those are the ones I like. They just look like pirate guns. :)

I seem to recall Kirk referring to Klingon sidearms as phasers in on TOS episode. Can't remember which one, though.

TNG era disruptors (especially if equipped with the rifle stock). Personally, I would want two additions: basic iron sights, and an under-barrel lug to allow the D'k'Tagh to be used as a bayonet. This would eliminate the need to carry a big, useless Bat'leth, or even a Mek'leth (Of course Klingons wouldn't see it that way ).

The Negh'Var of course.
If you mean man-portable weapon, then probably the D'ktagh.

The NeghVars primary weapons are disruptors so if you like the Neghvar you should vote disruptors.

Disruptor would be best to have in a fight, but if I had to go with a bladed weapon I'd take the sword that Duras used in his fight with Worf.

Sure, he lost, but in real life a katana-esque sword would be preferable to a Batleth anyday. I blame character shields. ; )

nearly any type of sword would be preferable to a bat'leth. i'd even take a scottish claymore over it, and those things are fucking huge.

After looking at pics of the weapons.

No wonder the Klingons have a 'long and glorious tradition' of battle. With those weapons you could never have had a short fight.

As a piece of art I'll take an original batleth, it's pretty and would make an excellent talking point when entertaining.

"What's that."
"Klingon art, neo-classical period."
"Looks dangerous to me."
"Don't worry, it's attached securly to it's mounting board."
"Don't klingons use those as weapons?"
"Be serious."

Disruptor, especially with the nifty stock to turn it into an SMG.

Three Klingons against me... they draw their bladed weapons, all bad-assed and loud, and charge waving wildly. I pull out my disruptor and slice them all in half...

Oh, and I'd want a disruptor in a knife fight too... ;)

Hehe guns vs. swords... Reminds me of that scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark .
