IIRC, it's said both "United Star Ship" and "United Space Ship" in TOS at different times, but I couldn't tell you which episodes it's specifically stated in.
Now obviously there's a difference (one is specifically for interstellar travel) so both would technically be correct for the Enterprise, but one would assume one is used for the general ships in the Federation fleet which we assume all have warp drive...
