it's probably too late to save Enterprise. . . .it's been going down the crapper for so long i doubt it can be revived.

Ah, who knows? I'm gonna be optimistic about this- on a slightly related note, anyone surprised that DS9's producers were going behind Berman's back to get things done?

Let's try to remember that GR was also guilty of pussifying the Federation and instituting a Communist like system of government with families on straships and where people could never ever have a dark side or even be gray.

B&B may have killed it but Gene started that horrible slide when he had creative control. Gene has always been good when he's been reigned in by others as he was in TOS and later TNG and when he's dead (Earth Final Conflict first three seasons, Andromeda first season and a half.)

Hopefully Jr here will be given a powerful voice to say when the fans cries out for B&B's heads.

Sorry I'm not sure when in the series he bit the dust, but didn't Tasha Yar contridict this a couple of times? Like when she went and got something from the ship's stores, or the fact that she had spent much of her youth avoiding rape gangs? Or was someone else responsible for that?

Tasha Yar did not grow up in the Federation. Her world descended into anarchy and chaos, hence the rape gangs and the reaosn why she was allowed to be slightly gritty. EVERYONE in the Federation during Roddenberry's tenure was fucking perfect.

From the sound of it, he has no power whatsoever, and would merely be a fan consultant.

I think he's confused Gene with his wife Majel. She had a say in both of those during the times mentioned.

I've met him. When he was asked about Enterprise and Voyager, he politely cool and simply stated that he was 'not involved in his mother's projects'. He would say no more, but I got the idea that he wasn't very happy with them either.

*shrug* Who knows for sure.

Nitram: You -are- beautiful. Anyone tries to tell you otherwise kill them.

Voyager and Enterprise were his mother's projects? That's weird. I just assumed Majel had nothing to do with either show. :?

Not to mention Ian Flemming and whoever writes those Mack Bolan novels did that too.
