I know of at least 6 version of the D-7 from the FASA game books.

Okay, not a D-7 then, but a powerful klingon ship. A 'sting tongue' destroyer would be excellent

True enough. Most of the FASA Klingon ships are in later days (TOS+)

However, there are a few that mention fighting Accelerator guns and lasers, I'd have to look
