Oh lord we agree on something. My whole world is falling apart. I hate to say it but I am really likeing this episode
For I dipt into the future, far as human eye could see,
Saw the Vision of the world, and all the wonder that would be;
Saw the heavens fill with commerce, argosies of magic sails,
Pilots of the purple twilight dropping down with costly bales;
Heard the heavens fill with shouting, and there rain'd a ghastly dew
From the nations' airy navies grappling in the central blue;

I could link to a short video clip but I'm not sure of board policy on the matter, any ideas?
I don't see any problem with that. I talked to Yosemite Bear and he said as long as the link is dressed and it has a 'Fair Use' comment, it'll be Kosher. :)

And she looked better with that hairdo she had in the Captain's dream. She actually attracted me there and then came the regular boy cut. :x ~Jason

Ok....

ADMIRAL FOREST: "Although the weapon systems of this Xindi Sphere are not yet operational, the Xindi Sphere does have a strong defence mechanisim. It is protected by a reset button located on the nearby forest moon of Mendor. This button must be deactivated if any attack is to be attempted. Once the button is down, the NX's will create a perimiter. While the shuttlepods fly into the superstructure and attempt to knock out the plot reator."

Still. It was nice seeing Earth blown to hell at least ONCE in Star Trek :D

Even it it was a reset button of doom.

And the Xindi weapon isn't something the Xinidi of this century are building, its rather more indicitive of Starfleet/Startrek technology in the 25th century.

Still, this wasn't your average Trekkie reset button episode.

More of a "what if" type of thing. There was actually NO TIME TRAVEL involved in the episode.

I'd compare it to the TNG Episodes "Parrallels" and "All good things". In actuallity, this episode (and arguably the whole series) fits in with the concept of "Parrallels".

This whole "Xindi super weapon is a DS ripoff" is complete BS. The only thing it had in common with the DS was the shape. It had no indentation where the weapon fired from did it? Hell, I might not have even been manned, but rather computer controlled.

Anyways, just saw the episode and wow, one of, if not the best episode of Enterprise yet. Also could be one of the best Trek episodes too.

T'Pol actually looked good in a SF uniform, shame she wears that catsuit instead. =\ Also, I liked the fact that we finally got a closer look at the ships we first saw in "The Expanse". The saucer section of one of them looked alittle like the saucer of a Norway.

Anyways, a very nice episode, a 10/10.

I want pictures of the Earth ships we saw.

I like the Hoshi's hair was when Archer returned to the ship for the treatment. I sort of figured by then she'd be atleast Trip's girlfriend.

Looks like DET to me- at least until the final shot- highly unimpressive compared to the Death Star.

Actually, he was the ability to form long term memories. If he lost short term, it probably wouldn't have screwed him over.

It's just like the "Scorpion" blast. The surface heats up while the beam is being fired, it seems to glow from within with lots of surface heating and damage, then it seems to percolate for a moment, and then it abruptly blows up. Unless the beam started at about a millionth of its true power and then suddenly spiked to maximum power right at the moment when the planet blew up (if indeed it was even still firing), this is another one of those goofy Trek chain reactions.

No, because Archer lost his long term memory, not his short term.

He didn't remember stuff earlier in the day (meeting with Tripp). Blatent fucking rip-off.

Sir Sirius wrote:Well, it is now clear that the Xindi do have a planet busting super weapon and that it is a sphere. Could a rip off get more blatant? :x Though on the bonus side Earth looked pretty damn cool as it blew up. :D

They fitted a lot of stuff in to just one episode and as a result it did feel a bit rushed at times, though on the other hand there weren't many boring scenes in this episode, I liked "Twilight". Granted it wasn't very original with the Death Star ripoff and Memento Archer, but it sure was entertaining and the acting for the most part was good. So far the third season is looking pretty promising, maybe Enterprise isn't a lost cause after all.

So? Wouldn't that go into long term memory? Also notice when T'Pol or Phlox said that he'd forget things within a few hours?

It's obvious that this episode was the result of a lot of wanking to one of DS9's best episodes "The Visitor". At the end of that episode, I almost cried. At the end of this episode I laughed at the stupid and pale imitation. B&B can't even steal material effectively. Fucking clowns.

Come on man, let's not get too literal here. It's obviously a rip-off of the theme in Memento with a few minor changes.

Yes, it's a ripoff of memento, with the addition of Earth being destroyed, humanity being reduced to 6000 and having to spend the next 12 years living on a barely habitable planet while fearing another attack by the Xindi.

Overall, it was a good episode, I liked the alternate hair styles for both Hoshi and T'pol. I could have done without the Captain can always take multiple hits before going down bit. It would have been better to set the chain reaction and simply have him torn in two just as he completes his action.
I did feel they were still borrowing too much from other ideas or shows. If they could just get rid of the technobabble it might be a show I catch every Wednesday.

The ship sinks?

In all fairness to Messrs. Berman and Braga, the destruction of Earth may have been used precisely because it is known that no matter what, Earth must survive. The intention may have been to force the audience to anticipate how things would be set arright.
