I've watched to Fox version. It's the only other anime (besides Cowboy Bebop) that I've watched and liked.

Have a very nice day.

There were hints that something was up with him. That's fine and indeed desirable, but the plot twist still defies reason and didn't need to be there, or should have been there in some other form.

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

You have got to be kidding. Even the English version itself is pretty much unwatchable...

Dilandau's voice in the dub was bad, really bad. Like, one of the worst ever.

Considering that the only other Anime I've seen were Pokemon and Digimon, I thought it was pretty good.

fglakin...you should try to find the rest. It's a good series.

Also while I despise Fox's butchering...it did at least show it...so if you wanted to see the unedited version...it's out there.

And the sound track was good too. Definately among the superiorly soundtracked animes.

I like it but I think it's one of Yoko Kanno's weaker efforts. Everything was good, but once you've heard the world "Escaflowne" repeated with unique enunciation each time, it gets a tad irritating.

You can go straight to hell and never come back! :D

Seriously though, I really liked Naria and Eryia (sp?) and I thought they added a real dimension to Folken's character. Folken was by far my favorite main character in the show (which is one of the reasons I disliked the movie so much) because he was such a sympathetic villian. His demise, handled like it was, had the perfect beauty of a Shakespearean tragedy, the twins being thrown in added gravity to the entire story arc. We saw a similar thing with the Dopleganger (too bad about him...he was also a good supporting character).

What exactly is the difference between the Fox and the unedited versions? This applies to all anime, not just Escaflowne.

Well Fox never showed the first True episode(their first wasn't the real first episode)...plus a bit more blood and some important story points.

Essentially they did more then just a little snippity snip...which is why if you like it...I recommend the unedited...gives more of what you want but also adds more to the story.

And for most anime...usually it varies sometimes minor like characters names...sometimes immensel major like entire episodes cut out, and severe changes in character and dialogue.
