I think Picard should die in a epic battle. It would be a fitting end to one of Starfleets finest officers. I would like to see him die like Admiral Nelson after leading the Federation to glory in a decisive battle.
I have to tell you something everything I wrote above is a lie.

Are we talking about the same "The Federation is not a military organization" Picard here? :D As cool as it would be, to have Picard die in an epic battle wouldn't be fitting with his character. A virus from a xenoarchaeological site, maybe, but not space battle, IMO.

I'd like to see Pichard give his life on a mission to save the Federation from a powerful enemy.

i.e
We are beings of our Word Pichard. Our history, and your intelligence on use indicates that. If you give us your life, we will become the most stead-fast and powerful allies to the UFP we can. If you do not, we will destroy it.

I know Picard is a pacifist but I like he is still very convincing as a captain of one of the most powerful starships in the galaxy. He should die in battle.

Dying in battle wouldn't fit the TNG Picard. But it would fit the new Picard that's been toting that goddamn phaser rifle around since First Contact.

The Enterprise-E Picard is the one I like most.

An action hero to fit the action ship and action plot.

Pity what Star Trek needed (and still needs) wasn't action, but adventure.
