I'm sorry, but "Way Of The Warrior" was pretty much where whatever was left of the Trek universe's integrity went right down the black hole. The main feature of the episode's plot is Ben Sisko, on his own head, starting the Federation/Klingon War. Contrary to the best interests of national policy, with no reference to his superiors, and driven by his own pompous standards of moral righteousness, he splits a crucial alliance with a new threat looming on the horizon to rescue the late enemies of the Federation. The Klingons presented no threat to either the Federation or Bajor. Sisko's decisions made no logical sense and his actions were illegal, immoral, and imbecilic. And while the Klingon justifications for their invasion may have been pathetically weak, Sisko —a mere field officer— had no right to decide the Federation's policy for them and start a war that could well have been avoided. There is no defence for his actions at all.

And this is apart from the ludicrous spectacle of the Klingon boarding forces beaming into the station with knives and swords at the ready instead of phasers.

Little wonder that from this point onward, Deep Sleep Nine really starts going downhill.
When ballots have fairly and constitutionally decided, there can be no successful appeal back to bullets.

Oil an emergency?! It's about time, Brigadier, that the leaders of this planet of yours realised that to remain dependent upon a mineral slime simply doesn't make sense.

It tells me that I might have some kids out there that I don't know about 'cause I'm not married.

Seriously, I'm in the camp that doesn't really mind Jar Jar most of the time. Some of the time I even like him. Other times he's annoying. I did find that I really hated 3P0 in AOTC. He was a little too much of a whiney bitch and I thought there was too much slap stick humor with him wasting time that could have been used on something else, and at least one tired pop culture joke (the "I've fallen and I can't get up). Although, to be fair I still like Chewbaca's Tarzan yell in ROTJ even thought I should find it annoying. :)

Back on topic: One thing that I don't like about the space battle in Way of the Warrior is that by that time B5 had had lots of battles that were much more 3D. I realize that iwas one of the early benefits of using CG for effects but it was disapointing to see wave after wave of Klingon ships coming in basically the same realtion to DS9. Why not a head on shot coming from direcly below? Unless the sheilds are extra powerful there it seems to me that the attacking ship would have a relatively free shot at a bunch of fusion reactors while presenting the smallest target possible.

What's worse, is the later attack of DS9 by the Dominion was nearly a repeat of the battle from WotW.

Now I know a lot of people don't like the early seasons of DS9 and much of it was lackluster and boring but I really liked the "Circle Trilogy" with Frank Languella. I liked the personal conflict and the politics of the recently free Bajor. It was a refreshing break from everyone getting along and finding themselves on TNG.

Later on, a lot of what I liked about DS9 was that it had people like Quark and Garak commenting on the Federation. I found myself agreeing with them quite a lot.

It was also nice that during the war we started seeing at least some smarts in the Federation in that they weren't trying to play everthing squeeky clean.
