You know, Shroomania is perfectly cool with San Dorado and is also trying to be cool with the CSR. Maybe
we should mediate talks between you guys.
There will be cake.
THE CAKE IS A LIE!!!!

Then we can have donuts and we can stain them with the blood of Shep's brains.
Or his breasts.
We've yet to talk about the whole Shadow States thing. If this Frequesue thing's such a clusterfuck, when we eventually talk to/about the Shadows, I wonder how that is gonna turn out.
Oh guys, the Sirnoth Shindig will be coming soon. That nation is also a neighbor of Shepistan/OD. Maybe we can have the Peace Talks then.
'course, Setzer doesn't like the Shepistanis and would appreciate it if they didn't murder other people's diplomats in social gatherings...

Heh. I could talk through Shroomania if I saw a need to. I don't see such a need. Let the FTO work out something coherent before talking to us.

How the hell did Tian Xia and the CSR end up having territory in Frequesue, anyway?
EDIT:
Protecting from imperialism my ass. Between this and the land-grab of the Border States, we SHOULD be scared of you people.

Your next step? "Repeat Step 1, Coerce me into leaving" - and removing my military would constitute exactly that. Moreover, you want to make the FTO arbiter of political disputes in Frequesque, meaning we would be relegated to "observer" status about our own territory? Riiight.
Oh
please. I replied to this accusation before, but apparently you prefer to ignore it: what I asked you is whether you would sign to the terms laid out by Cascadia. That's what I asked: no more, no less. If you wish to maintain a presence, sure, we can talk about that. If Cascadia says the terms shouldn't be what they were, sure, we can talk about that as well. But if you mistake asking "will you do what this paper says you should do should you sign it" as making some sort of 'demand', I don't think you've got the right to accuse
me of being incoherent.
Would I rather see you and Beowulf gone from the continent? Hell yes. But we're also realistic enough to see reason when that's not an option.
So I'm tired of speaking with a bunch of people who can't even grasp politics 101.

Says the man who storms out of a diplomatic conference on a whim.
You started with making demands instead of making offers. I wasn't really happy about the way PRSF thing turned out, I had to basically take over a nation incapable of defending itself after Beowulf's powergames, not even administrating itself. But you put a last straw on the camel's back.
I call bollocks on that. Again: I didn't "demand" anything, I asked whether you would do what the treaty wanted you to do. You gave a flat-out "njet", and things spiralled from there. Stop accusing me of making demands, we both know that's not true.
We don't need your recognition on some sort of "terms", because you can't issue any "terms" to us, you're too incoherent and impotent. We're here, we recognize this territory as ours, want to dispute - be prepared to face consequences.
As they say in Brooklyn: forget about it. You're trying to push us around to get what you want without offering anything in return. Let's see what you're prepared to offer, and then we'll talk. And "incoherent"? Ha. So speaks the man who says "we won't demilitarize", and then turns around to claim that's his way of saying "what do we get in return". Righty-o, we'll see you when we see you then.

Would I rather see you and Beowulf gone from the continent? Hell yes.
The problem is you can't do anything. You can't threaten us. You can't offer us anything of use to us - what exactly do we need? We have our base and all the goals we wanted to accomplish at last are complete and our territories are mostly secure.
We need nothing from you, but you need something from us. Reconsider your position and call another summit next year.

If you don't need anything from us, and you're not prepared to offer us anything, then there's nothing to negotiate about. That's the bottom line. Because the choice is then between giving nothing and getting nothing, or giving the CSR whatever it wants, and still getting nothing. For my die-hard capitalist government, that's not a particularly difficult decision to make.

On that note, if President Sydney Hank is still in Cascadia and eating his cake (:D), Melchett McMeistervater would probably like to talk to him about buying another Shroomanian TITAN TRASHERTRON machine thing.
Hey, at least Frequesue is big enough for the both of you, am i rite?

Well honestly I wasn't expecting much of anything from the neutrality conference anyway. At least everyone has gotten to state their official positions.
I was hoping that there somehow might be an agreement to limit the number of strategic bombers based on the continent or something, but I couldn't think of a mechanism for it. As has been made clear, no one really has anything anyone else wants.

OOC, I wrote the term as such because I didn't realize some players would interpret it in a way that it would include having Tian Xia and CSR made to withdraw military forces from what is now their sovereign territory.

I see. Well, it honestly hadn't occurred to me to interprete the terms that way. Though in-game it wouldn't have made much of a difference if it had.

The TXN carrier left. Both of my deployed carriers were last located with a ODN carrier near San Fuego. At this point, they should both be home, while the third is doing work up exercises. The TXN marine ESG also left to fight against Shepistan. Ditto two of the three fighter wings I deployed.
The forces that are left there are the native Tian Jiao forces, along with a single fighter wing, and a single airborne assault division.

All right, my apologies. I'll go and edit the question then.

Hopefully Shady will do it well. Hell, he can go visit PeZookia and have the interview and stuff. And it can be broadcasted live via ShroomStratTV!

Alright, I modified the part of my invasion post to fit the way things are shaping up. Now let's come to an agreement so we don't have to bog down in some endless swirling-round-the-bowl war scenario.
Naturally, if it's a ceasefire, we won't withdraw from the territory we hold, and there'll be a DMZ, yadda yadda. If there's a treaty of some sort, then there'd be a withdrawal.
Hint-- Shep, the truth is, if Shepistan doesn't run around purposefully tweaking noses and playing little 'gotcha games' all over the world, then we won't have these problems.

I am late, as usual.
Guys, I urge you not to antagonize or leave out folks too much. It would be bad to ferment sour grapes, especially when you're doing it unnecessarily. If we can get San Dorado and the CSR to talk to each other, without any too hard feelings, then that will be preferable to making resentments pressure cook and shit.
We don't want an outpouring of dickery that'll ruin things for folks. Come on, be fun.

Indeed.

Question: Would the Crimson Star Republic agree to a high level but entirely unofficial meeting with the Free Republic of Astaria?
For that matter would Byzantium (the only first world place we have an embassy with) do the same?
And as for Japanistan how many months would it take for our consul to get a meeting with your foreign minister?

Dude.. you will get a letter for being lax on enforcing piracy laws and use of dangerous weapons. We'd instead advice you to clean up your own backyard, and not wait for others to clean it up for you.

Well, if you insist, if you have salient points to make...
