The air in the arena shifts and shimmer, ever so slightly...and then appear 20 wizards, all pointing wands everywhere. "HALT NOW! WE HAVE YOU SURROUNDED!"

I burn a page in my spellbook to cast teleport without error and get the hell out.

Magic missle has the force descriptor, thus, you can't replace it with an elemental damage type.

++once I arriive, I dispel the enlarge and revert to human form. being so mighty is cool, but attracts attention++

Caoimhin hangs on desperately to the Griffon and hopes it knows where its going.

"You have a point. We're done here. Get on." Gaheris leaped into the saddle as Percival grabbed the prisoner. He waited for Caoimhin to get on behind him, then lifted off. As they rose above the amphitheater, he saw columns of troops rushing up the streets. He dug his heels into Percival's sides and they rushed off at full speed into the night.

Astinius arrives in a shimmering nimbus of magical energy... He knows he is safe and figures that now is as good a time as ay to settle down for the night... but he will wait for the others to see what was looted from that female fleshy-mage

Percival swooped in low, dropping the prisoner a split second before landing in the cobblestone courtyard in a clatter. Gaheris got off and ran off to see the abbot and report, if he was still awake.

(hmpf, as I was asleep during that whole fun event...)
Being bored by this whole slave thing, Duncan and Tash managed to slip out of the arena just before the doors shut closed.
Irritated, he and Tash turn around, until they hear and see the signs of a truly massive battle.
"Oh well, seems like some fun we miss..." Tash grunts.
Both try to get as far away from the colloseum as possible.
"Lets go to our Inn. Best we call it a night...

(Anyway to meet up with the rest of the gang, as a latecomer?)

Realizing that i'm about to have bounty hunters after me, I cast NONDETECTION in conjunction with PERMENENCE to make myself save from scrying. (since i have all night, i just memorize these spells)

Having walked had walked from the collesium shortly after the slave had begun to fight (spears are so, impersonal), Rahnort took to the streets, and taking the time to explore the city.

Astinius lazily floats out of a small room he had been waiting in over to the Griffon and starts talking to Caoimhin.

"So is this..." He looks down at that scantily clad human mage, who sharply contasted wth the elf tht had everything but his face covered in cloth
"Fleshy carrying anything even remotely valuable to me? A spellbook, wands, anything along those lines?"

His fly spell was still active and he rotated to be horizontal and descended to the mages eye level

"Dont worry, if you had your spellbook on you, I will give it bak. After I copy down every spell in it that is not already known to me. I would never dream of robbing another mage of their livelyhood... even a fleshy like you"

"I really do wish we could have met under better circumstances, we may have been friends. I may of course be willing to allow you to copy from my spellbook if you promise not to harm any of us or it while in the process"

Caoimhin chuckled and slipped a small backpack from his shoulder, reaching inside and lifting out a large book that could be nothing other than that of a wizard.
"Something like this perhaps."
He offered the book over, while the raven still perched on his shoulder watched with interest.
"A spell book I'd say, though I'm not daft enough to open it and check..."

"Yes it does look like a spellbook"
He grabs it and handles it gently.

"I hope this isnt trapped..." he slips on his goggles and activates the Know Protections" feature. and the Detect Magic feature. What does the spellbook have on it as far as magical protections?

++I don't have my books, can you cast Bull STrengh with peremence++

You detect a pair of explosive runes on the front page, but you don't detect anything else.

As both the Elf and the human talked, the Raven perched carefully on Caoimhin's shoulder, extending his wings once before coming to a settle. He watched the exchange with a degree of curiousity. He let out a quiet caw and hopped from Caoimhin's shoulder to the ground, shifting back to his original form in an instant.

He reached up carefully once when in human form and carefully adjusted his throat before speaking

"I trust those slaves escaped without harm?"

As they had reached a safe distance from the arena, they slowed down their pace. Still carefully looking out, they made their way to their home, the Rosebud Tavern.
Before entering, he called his shadow to him, and told it to carefully look around the city, and spot anything unusual, like the ones who made the chaos in the arena.
