There's no reason you can't go the same path with some of your things. But this is a chance to do it all over.

Besides, if we did it in an alternate universe where everything is the same with the sole exception of this nuclear war, it wouldn't matter. We'd just be delaying the inevitable of when the UAR got around to nuking the world.

Essentially, we now know where this current setup led us. Let's try a new one and see what happens.

The Bear Republic really wasn't high on my initial threat list; I'll probably have some retalitatory airstrikes with a few tactical aircraft delivered nukes and some chemical airstrikes, and have the bombers returning from the LSR, Wilkonia, with left over nukes drop them on the Bear Republic...

Besides, as what many would see as the main leadership of the FUN (Paul kind of had that role bestowed upon him, official formalities aside) it would make sense they'd be one of the ones to go in the FUN.

That would force a major retcon of a lot of things, though. The UAR wouldn't exist for one. A lot of events that happened (TF-23, the Diocese attack, the Zablania ramjet thing, etc.) wouldn't have happened either.

That'd be a massive retcon to make.

I say our retcon would have Shepnukistan collapsing into anarchy - rather than nuclear war. As in, TOTAL anarchy.

Well, it's Shep's attack plan, so I guess he gets to call what gets hit. Since PeZookia is, you know, practically defenceless. Our 14 Migs and some half-deployed S-300 batteries won't be able to down too many bombers

That works. As long as we make a bigger world map with a lot more space between countries and proper continents allowing for land armies to be of use in wars.

And I'll be more than happy to play the multiple warlords of the Former State of Shepnukistan who will sell you a working nuclear device for $5,000, plus $1000 down.

Yeah, I'd like more space. Get some more tactics besides bomber and missile spam.

Dunno about continents, though I was thinking the clustered archipelagos would be nice.

Some preplanning though. We'd definately need that. And either cut off some of the inactive countries, make a few small satellite "vassals" for the larger power blocs (only a Duchy or two or something like that...nothing major) and perhaps a few more NPC "rogue states" to give us something to do.

Since most everyone is either first or second world we could use a few third world shitholes to do stuff with.

If you do that, we got to cluster imperiums together on land masses; to force them to spend money on land armies to deter the other imperiums; otherwise you'll have an Imperium overwhelming the other small countries on the land mass with sheer manpower...
