So.. yeah.

I've been thinking about the fact that GR has been missing for a year just about now. I have been wanting to post something, kind of as a way to acknolwedge that he is still thought of and missed and that I still hope, however faint, he might show up someday. I've just never been quite sure what to say though. I miss him, and I still hope this year will see him return.

It's scary how someone can disappear so completely that you will never find out what happened. When you read in the paper about someone who turns up twenty years later, you kind of wonder what it was like for the people who knew him back before he went missing. He could turn up years later or maybe never. The uncertainty is the worst part of it.

On the off-chance you're still out there somewhere, Ghost Rider, be well and have an incredible excuse for your friends and family if you ever surface again.

I guess now this is kind of the last chance to say something.

Dennis...my god man, I miss you. You were a hoot to have around. A great guy to talk to. A smart guy. With a life that I found fascinating and jesus I wish I'd gotten to hear more of it. I miss trading WoW tips with ya. Just stupid stuff about punching internet dragons.

If by any small, tiny chance you're out there, reading this and for whatever reason you just can't speak...man I hope you're doing okay. Things are less cheerful than they were with you around. I miss ya. And if you can I hope you get the chance to break silence.

And if not...well I got the chance to meet a good guy I might not have otherwise known. Silly as it may be, punching internet dragons and the discussions thereof is always gonna be a fond memory for me.

Just wish there could've been some more of em. Take care, my man.

There will always be empty seats here, for absent friends.

Did folks ever come to a general consensus for what likely happened to him?

As much as I hate to say it, he is probably dead. He was one of my best friends here and it feels a lot emptier than it did back then.

I have an old friend that decided to cut off all contact from friends and family back in 2000. He was feeling a need to rebell from his parents. So he moved to Texas from Alaska and just cut off all communication. I don't know how far he went cutting off his parents, but those of us that knew him didn't know a thing. I honestly thought he had died. I didn't hear anything until 2010 when I found out he was still living in Texas, with a girlfriend and child.

Ghost Rider, I hope you are doing OK wherever you are. We care about you and wish nothing but the best. Please take care of yourself. please.....

He was the guy who literally helped me guide through my first growing pains as a mod. Always someone to talk to - there were times we literally sent ten or so PMs per day to each other. Very smart, very perceptive. I miss him.

I still miss him. I hope he's on a tropical island somewhere surrounded by beautiful big titted women sucking on a pina colada...
