Star Trek's Civilizations Future?

Post by Techno_Union »

Whats going to happen with the ST universe? Of course this is assuming that the ST franchise is not going to dwindle even lower then it already has. But will the Klingons invade the Romulans? Will the Borg invade the rest of the galaxy and finally become riddled with tactics? (doubt it) Or is the Federation going to bore itself to death and finally die like they should have many many many times ago?

Also, what kind of new technology could be constructed?

You have an incredible knack for asking tons of questions that are open-ended and potentially very interesting, but somehow you make them boring and stupid.

Read Gil's thing, it's as likely as anything.

Well this is actually what could happen in the future of ST after the Dominion wars and after Nemesis. I have read his thread and it is interesting but it is not answering the questions I asked here.

Opinion seconded.

At least he isn't as bad as Jax in asking about crap that nobody knows (and making useless polls).

TU, has the thought "who knows?" ever crossed your mind?
It has many many times, and I ask, "who knows?" to all of you to see if anyone really knows. To gain all of your opinions. And I shall try to make these questions less "stupid" and "boring."

The cheap shot at the state of the franchise was unnecessary. We all know Trek is circling the drain, no need to bring it up in every thread.

The Federation is unlikely to die in the future since 29th century ships were seen in Voyger.
I have to tell you something everything I wrote above is a lie.

According to the latest episode of Ent the Klingons have joined the Federation by the 26th Century.

And the Federation apparently exists (and is in tatters) by the 31st century, according to Enterprise.

No wonder the Drej blew up Earth in 3000 AD. :D

Heh ! That explains it then.

The federation are far to arty farty to last 700 years, they wouldn't get out of the solar system. The whole 23rd and 24th century - and beyond, in Trek history should never have happened. We're destined for death, all of us !

Ahem.

The Section 31 guy said this:

"...when the war is over the following will happen in short order : The Dominion will be forced back to the Gamma Quadrant. The Cardassian Empire will be occupied. The Klingon Empire will spend the next ten years recovering from the war and won't pose a serious threat to anyone. That leaves two powers to vie for control of the quadrant - the Federation and the Romulans."

And given the events in Nemesis the Rommies aren't gonna be too much of a problem after having their balls and brains cut out by Shinzon.

How's that? The destroyed Earth 31st century future was the result of Archer being braught to the future. Once he went back to his place in time the 31st century would no longer be destroyed.
