That is quite disturbing. And the explanation points to CRAPPY acting. He's catching his breath after a shuttle bay depressurized? That's the piss-poorest acting job I've seen in a while.

Ok, that is hardly fair. The guy is actually a pretty good actor; look at his other work. Sure its nothing great, but it up there with most other B list celebs like Bruce Cambell, and better then a fair number of A list actors.

Riiiiggghhhhhttttt. I found the Kirk one far more disturbing. But as for recovering from explosive decompression, that is crappy acting. If he had just suffered explosive decompression, the proper acting method would be to lie on the deck, never to move again. You don't recover from that.

Similar only more extreme. After all, the divers aren't going to zero pressure outside. That kind of decompression is literally explosive.

To be fair, there's no way he could have acted that; it would require viewing his internal organs, and I for one won't fault the guy for not disemboweling himself.
