The temporal prime directive

Post by Shrykull »

I've heard this mentioned in the alternate future Voyager ep where an older Harry Kim tries to send the message back with the borg "temporal transmitter" thingie, to save them from crashing into the ice planet. Also, we hear there is a department of Temporal affairs (or something like that) that visits Sisko in Trails and Tribbleations

If this is true why do we see Timeships from the future like the timeship Relativity in a voyager ep if they don't want people screwing with time? Hmm, maybe it was repealed perhaps? :D

also since when did Trek always follow the Prime directive? If they can break that occasionally then then certainly can break the temporal prime directive.

Department of Temporal Investigations.

Timeships from the future exist to police the more widely avalible time travel tech. Most probably, they are the future version of Starfleet DTI.
