The CCG caled it the Liberty, though I imagine they just made that up.

I should mention that the guys who write the CCG do extensive research, ie; watching every ep. Even it was a throwaway line, they'd catch it.

they could have come up with a better name for their secret revolt. Something fearsome or mysterious like The Rough Riders or El Orden de el Phasero Dorado or some shit like that. When I first heard them called Maquis, the first thing that pooped into my mind was a bunch of piss drunk, morbidly obese creoles sitting around a tree stump eating crawdads in a swamp outside New Orleans. Not very fearsome.

Have you ever seen angry piss-drunk Morbidly Obese creoles attacking you for stilling their crawdads????? It is not for the faint of heart.
Or maybe that was the undercooked crawdads. Ugh.
