I can see multiple mistakes and unknowns that were screwed up in this analysis. He labels Oberths as different ships and failed to identifity a Steamrunner.closet sci-fi fan wrote:analysis of FC screencaps

On the subject of which, actually, Voyager appeared against the Borg in the FC teaser trailer; the sequence was a modified one from 'Best of Both Worlds - part 2'Superman wrote:It's too bad they didn't have Voyager there. 39 ships? Forget it. Just throw Voyager up against it. The cube would have been wasted in no time.

What Miranda was destroyed? I didn't see any destroyed, but I did see a Borg shot that looked like it was targeting a Miranda that had just moved offscreen.Laird wrote:That page lacks the miranda that got toasted aswell.

Click on 'Teaser' trailers, Hi or Lo res. It takes a while to load, even on cable or DSL but it does load.
Its an interesting trailer, it not only includes the created footage of Voyager, it also contains an E-D flyby, a scene from 'The Emissary' DS9 and other bits and pieces thrown in to make it more exciting etc.
For the people who cant be bothered downloading that trailer ( I cant blame you) I provide a few images from said trailer:

Voyager firing phasers, the registry (74656) is not very visible on the saucer, but it is there.

Voyager's phasers make an explosion on the Cube.
I think the red thing in the background is some sort of nebula or something.
As far as I know, that footage was created specially for that trailer.
Voyager summed up in 1 quote:
Neelix: These people dont appreciate what they have! This ship is the match of anything in a hundred lightyears, yet what do they do with it?
(fake voice) Oh, well lets go find some space anomaly today that'll rip it apart!
- Voy: 'The Cloud'

There is plenty of previous Borg encounters shown in that trailer. We get a good look at the Doctor in the old TNG style uniform holding her phaser. We got a couple shots from Generations. We see battle footage from BOBW2. Plenty of footage from Emissary. There is even one shot from All Good Things (TNG series finale). And of course the largest chunk of work was transposing Voyager into the thing.
Makes me wonder if they were originaly planning on giving Voyager a bit part in the begining of the movie. Thats an awful lot of work for what amounts to absolutely nothing.

I have a high resolution vid of the First Contact Trailer.
The Registry number seen in the trailer on the saucer of whatever ship fighting the cube there is this "CC-74656". That's all that is shown that I can pinpoint.
Is that actually Voyager's Registry number?

Yep. Voyager is NCC-74656. Somewhat of a high number, given that Intrepid (name ship of class) was NCC-74500. Perhaps there were fighters produced in between the two that were given NCC registry numbers? The highest-numbered known Intrepid class (according to the LUG RPG) is USS Vor'kaan NCC-74712.Robert Walper wrote:The Registry number seen in the trailer on the saucer of whatever ship fighting the cube there is this "CC-74656". I doubt it, from all indications they seem to be incremental for any warp-capable vessel.Bill Door wrote:It is possible that the higher regestry numbers is because of a basic counter intelegence trick.
