Interesting question...to me anyways

How does the Dominion War Galaxy compare to the Klingon War Galaxy as seen in Yesterday's Enterprise? Just watched the episode and it was taking multiple hits from 3 K'vort class battle cruisers before it even started to flinch

We never get enough to bench mark the Klingon War Galaxy. But from what I recall the refits/differences are no where near as extensive as they were for the War Galaxy, so it's unlikely to be that far removed from the standard Galaxy.

Its hard to tell. We get the impression that the AU Enterprise was optimized for war, but it still followed the same basic principle. We do however see there are some changes to the ship itself. I could see it within the realm of possibility both ships are roughly equivilant in combat. The AU Galaxy is designed for war, the War Galaxy is an upgrade on the original design. Both would probably have the same end result.

I would think some 20 years of war would yield better weapon enhancements than the few years of the Dominion.

Not necessarily. For starters the War Galaxy is using further weapon technology 10 years into the future. Additionaly there is the tech trades between the Klingons and Federation to take into account as well as examination of Dominion technology.

Also keep in mind that the War Galaxy upgrades were based off the experience vs the Borg, and having them around as a threat is almost as good as a war to "encourage" the design teams to be enthusiastic and successful with their work.

Good point, do you think the upgrades during the war have been specifically to fight Cardassian/Dominion tech?

What about the upgraded Enterprise D Admiral Riker commands in the final episode of TNG. The three nacelled guy.
