Boothbabes are women who are employed by company's to occupy Sci-Fi and computer conventions in order to sell products. (Stupid males think with wrong area and wind up shelling out big bucks)

Houri are the class of angels who are devine whores.

Yes they are, but of course there are exceptions at times.
"Oh no, oh yeah, tell me how can it be so fair
That we dying younger hiding from the police man over there
Just for breathing in the air they wanna leave me in the chair
Electric shocking body rocking beat streeting me to death"

- A.B. Original, Report to the Mist

"I think it’s the duty of the comedian to find out where the line is drawn and cross it deliberately."

I don't believe that I've heard of a class of called "Houri" before, and one of my hobbies is Judeo-Christian mythology... :?

That's because Houri are from Islamic mythology. They are the maidens that supposedly reward the true believers with eternal bliss.

I see. I'm familiar with those, but I'm afraid that I've never heard or read anything about them being angels. (http://www.straightdope.com/columns/011214.html)

I think that YB was just being a little tongue-in-cheek, especially since, as far as I know, angels is a Christian monkier. They may not be angels, but they are the reward that the Koran promises to the afterlife of the faithful. Calling them divine whores makes a certain amount of sense in this context.

You also have to keep in mind that YB sometimes just doesn't make any sense. ;)

Islam does have angels, and they are organised by a hierarchy much like Judaism and Christianity. It's just that I think they might call them something else and the rankings are slightly different for each of the three religions.

Yes, I am talking with toungh in cheek.

Yes, I am quite a bit out there. The whole concept of the devine whore actually quite a bit older, and has more then one cultural application. Including Summerian, Greek, Anchient Egyptian & Aztec versions.

I'd hate to live there, think about it. It's the middle of the night; you wake up because you need some thing to drink. Half asleep you try to navigate through the living room, into the kitchen, but you run into the counter and the damn thing blows up in your face.
