Of course it's inappropriate, she's an officer for Christ's sake...

Jesus, what is it with recent Trek and their refusal to put certain people in uniforms?

That was disapointing ..Should we show this Federation how to build a ship so we may have worthy foes? Typhonis 1

TNG-era Starfleet uniforms don't allow excessive display of female officers' cleavage.

They're actually better than the ones in TOS, IIRC.

The Civi clothes in TSFS weren't all that bad. Also the ones seen in trouble with tribbles weren't bad either. Neither were the miner's clothing in mudd's women.

The TNG-era civilian clothes are a perfect example of how rapidly The Next Generation has aged in a mere decade, whereas TOS still retains some of its freshness. I don't think that many men complain about Troi wearing her tight spandex "uniform", but it simply looks very ridiculous - and no, not even T'Pol's 1-2 season catsuit is that bad.

Gene shouldn't have had so much power in the early planning stage. I know, you shouldn't speak ill of the dead, but he is the main reason why TNG and modern Trek are like this.

Roddenberry was very angry at Nicholas Meyer, because in his opinion Meyer had given Trek a too militaristic feel. He wanted to bring Trek back to its tracks, but ended up taking away many of things that made the original series so good.

Develope a fuller background story for Federation. Also, keep warp scale from TOS. I always thought TNG warp scale was sucked. It did not make sense to change it.
