Chekov was not CO, Terrell was. I think Chekov may have been XO... not sure.

Checkov was either XO or 2nd officer. Can't remember offhand, but his transfer to Reliant would seem to involve more than just a rank increase but also a post promotion of some sort. And, IIRC, wasn't Riley on board the Reliant as well?
