Star Trek: Enterprise
On SciFi Wire, it was reported that the words "Star Trek" will be placed in front of Enterprise starting next season.....

Ah, part of BnBs infmous plan to alienate the rest of the viewers. Now the trek fans who held out hopes of an alternate realtiy or just another bad sci fi show will realize that this is the sad state of a once proud franchise.
Either that or its just stupid.

The sure sign of desperation. After two years of pissing all over Star Trek and the fans with this crappy show, now they hope to save the project by embracing the legacy and think the "brand name" will bring those fans back.

Very Very Sad.
Alot of Star Trek is actually pretty good.
i.e Most of TOS and TNG, and alot of DS9 (when they avoided excessive technobabble). There is the odd good voyager episode as well.
Enterprise, for the most part, is rather unenjoyable and unwatchable. Just bad writing for the most part. If you want to ignore the historical inconsistence's with older sources (the other series), and ignore the bad writing aspects (T'pol's literary betrayl), it's watchable as an alternate reality.
Perhaps even leading up to the 'Mirror, Mirror' universe.
This just took the cake however. Now they are saying it's Star Trek: Enterprise, meaning part of the main timeline.
Someone, please, ELMINATE B&B and there staff. I don't care how as long as innocent bystanders are spared. Bomb there houses, grenade them, or frame them as spies or something, just get ride of them!

Ah, yes, now they begin insisting that ENTERPRISE is in fact canonical. I wonder what kind of a civil war this will lead to.

What they should do is Get Ben Affleck and JLo to be in Enterprise. That ought to finish it off.

Wasn't that emblem originally unique to the Enterprise? I thought that different ships in Starfleet had different emblems on their uniforms, and Starfleet later adopted the Enterprise emblem throughout the fleet.paladin wrote:I caught the tail end of Enterprise tonight and it looks like it will be Star Trek: Enterprise.Scary thing is the background showed the "Starfleet Emblem" behind Star Trek: Enterprise.

Braga: I though I TOLD you, i've never seen the original series.
Berman: Oh Yeah, well, I hope the fans don't pick up
Braga: Yeah one little continuity eorr won't drive away our tremendous fan base!
Berman: By the way, i'm going to go tell Jolene she needs bigger breasts, at least a EEE cup
Braga: Oh good idea, but she has to wear the same catsuit
Vermin: We are programming geniuses! If onyl everyone else knew it!

Well, there goes the last gasp of Star Trek. There's no point in even a pretense of the Vs. debates, now; the timeline is so crushed that you can only really analyze each episode individually without a particular plot relevance to the next one.

This is a marketting ploy, plain and simple. I bet they hope to attract more Star Trek fans by adding the name to the title. I bet they think that people are stupid enough not to realize that Enterprise is based on Star Trek.
