Either you can ask a board member if they are willing to host it for you or you can get a free webhost.Ace Pace wrote:next idiotic question, where can I host it? yes I am a picture uploading noob

Will post after I get around to debianizing qtcurve and installing it. Liquid got boring, and felt weird without a good matching gtk theme.

EDIT:

800x600, 16 bit color, and I am aware that some of the icons don't fit the desktop theme.

Well, in any case my corrent Desktop... The Valley of Rivendel, also by Ted Nasmith. It's a bit too high, so I had to clip a bit from the bottom and just a little bit from the top.

Using .txt trick when not inlining pics is worse than useless, since one then has to go through the trouble of right clicking, saving, then renaming, then displaying, instead of just copy and pasting into URL bar, since it just attempts to display as text.
Anyways, here's mine:
http: //www.geocities.com/jhnphm/screenshot3.png
Copy and paste, remove space after http:
If it doesn't work the first time, hit [Enter] in url bar again, or try again with ? after .png

My Windows 2000 desktop
Yes, I realise that many of the icons are broken.
But thats because when I installed XP on this computer I mostly abandoned 2k. 2k is kinda my backup OS if I lose the main OS (Win XP).
And thats exactly what happened a few days ago, but on friday I can get my hands on a XP CD so I that it can be fixed.
And the XP desktop is much, much prettier to look at.

Finally got around to changing my wallpaper. This is only the 3rd one I've had in the 6 years I've had this computer. Shrunken down from the original 1024x768 size.

Edit: I'm suddenly reminded of the prank where you take a sreenshot of the desktop and use it as the wallpaper after hiding all the icons. The poor sucker clicks away on the desktop "icons" and panics when nothing happens.

Lusankya: Deal!
Say, do you want it to be a threesome with your wife? Or a foursome with your wife and sister-in-law? I'm up for either.

I typically make - or edit - my own desktops. This is the current one I did, because I loved the movie so much, replacing the character faces with those of mine and people I know...

From left to right: My friends Dana, Flip, Chris, and then, licking the skull, is me.
EDIT: And, if anyone cares, here is the full-sized, ultra-huge, 1600x1200 image.

"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

Usually you can mess with people pretty good without even hiding the real icons. At work we have computers in which you have to log onto first but while they are in sleep mode they sometimes display the previous desktop. That really screws with people when it's the screencap version.

Taken at 1024x768, so looks crappy on Exploder unless you have some sort of god-resolution.
