Came on earlier just like I had a thousand times before only to find I couldn't open any pages other than this vitalregistration website that claimed to be the ones behind my provider..I do find it strange however that they did not mention it

Now...I disregard this pos as just another pop up and try to go about my merry way on the net checking email and such...only to find..this fucking thing has since blocked all access to the net from the current software I have! Can't even check emails or do anything save connect to msn until I register and download the software...

Getting a little suspicous at a con, I do it nether the less...wanting my net back...it seemed to fix the problem and let me have my frigging connection back none the less....my real question is was anyone else (On dial up...adsl seemed to be fine according to them) in the UK encountered this?

Ok, well it's not a porn dialer, but I have an idea how it fucked your connection up. Were you using M$IE? IE allows a remote website to do invasive bullshit like fuck up DNS settings or write a website's IP address to your HOSTS file, causing commonly-surfed sites like Yahoo, AOL, MSN, Google, etc to always redirect to a site of the hijacker's choosing.

Dialers are made for the express purpose of scamming you out of as much of your hard-earned money as they possibly fucking can.

EDIT: and all without raising warnings of any kind, knowing M$'s 'security'

Alright....You may shoot me for saying this...but gods bless XP and it's restore function...the evil dialer is now gone and I've my old one back and connected to the net....I am however, really fucking spooked that it's not even funny.

I'm going to check with my isp and possibly an email to Microsoft....if someone is playing immitation then they need to know...
