After a brutal four month campaign against Sweedish forces, Army
Group Nord, under GFM Gerd Von Rundstedt has finally crushed all
sweedish resistance. A puppet government has been installed...

Oh yes, I couldn't help but think of Eleas as I sent my panzers rolling
through Malmö to crush Sweedish resistance there. :twisted:

This is the first game of HoI that I've paid attention to the economy. And
Sweeden has 300~ Steel, which is CRUCIAL if you're germany. So
I invaded those neutralist scum at the same time I invaded Poland :twisted:

I had a interesting time on HOI the other day playing as Japan. Joined the axis in 1939 and conqued Vietnam(France territory) , then took out austrialia, south africa, netherlands, and new zeland. This were going good when i helped clean out Africa for Italy and set up an invasion of Iraq(oil). About this time it was mid-1940 and the Americans declare war, quilckly Bombing my islands. I "blitz" to hawaii and take it out with midway and wake islands. I then proceded to "poke at" the american navy until they are beaten. This however was not an easy task. It has been 4 years of fighting. Its 1944 and my navy is sore as hell, and i have lost 1 carrier 1 battleship and 4 cruisers. The Americans have lost 10 Battleships 10 cruisers and about 50 transports. I am still losing the numbers game and the Americans took Wake and Hawaii back. Germany and Italy do nothing as I fight the Soviets and Americans on two fronts. God I LOVE this GAME!!!!

i have my gamwe where Britian(me) is in the Low Countries stalemating the Nazis there while the French hasn't lost but is helping.(assumed military control) then I invade and puppet Italy when the Nazis send 49 divisions south to Italy and I break out.

So is this Hearts of Iron good? I've seen it down at my local Com shop. and was wondering about buying it cos some people have raved about it.

From the back of the box it looks to me like Civilisation but focusing mainly on military.

It's somewhat like Risk on PC and improved an EUII. It's quite good and Shep has an exacellent mod.
