Basically in this scenario you end up in an alternate version of earth where evolution went a little differently. As such the dominant species on the planet is basically this...

...or a less cartoony version there of. For a complicated list of reasons that would be of great interest to any biologist a strain of pigs became bipedal, their fore-legs became hands and they became sapient tool users. There are a few billion of these creatures living at a level of technology comparable to ours in general terms. In short: anthropomorphic pigs.
The ones that you come across are in fact decent in their way, recognize you as a sapient being with inherent rights and fundamental dignity and all that. Your picked up by some of their scientists who keep you in room in a facility that is quite comfortable, if confined. They're glad to teach you their language, work out means of communication, ask you questions about their earth and answer your questions about their world and so forth. They do tend to skirt around some subjects. They also tend to be uncomfortable when they put a bunch of food in front of you to see what you would eat if you look at the stew.
In any case, eventually they tell you something. Basically there are hominids on this planet. Several species of which across Eurasia and the Americas. They never got over the hump on this world and their intelligence did not noticeably advance. Even so, there are a lot of them. There is a fast breeding strain of said hominids with shovel like hands, a heavier jaw but otherwise looks hauntingly human which 12,000 years ago the sapient pigs in what on our earth would be the Yangtze River valley rounded some up, put them in pens, fed them their peelings, fish guts and other kitchen scraps, waited for them to breed and then slaughtered them for their meat and hides. As it stands, there are currently about a billion of them living in farms around the world. They had been stepping around this subject because they did not know how you would respond to this.
How would you respond to this?
