By 1000 I had been hiking on the AT for more than an hour and hadn't seen anyone, which I thought strange because there was a span of like 8 miles between 2 shelters. When I got to Manassas Gap shelter there were a bunch of guys blasting music and toking(puff-puff-pass) in the tent area near the shelter. The were friendly but one of them hid the joint after his eyes went up to my cover(whether it was because of my VFW stitching or PATC pin on it). After I looked through the registry they had cleared out of the tent area.

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."
That first shot has some lovely classical composition. Shame the light sucks. You could get some amazing shots there in the morning or evening (light "Rays" from the side)

It was in the morning(but overcast). Around here in the summer I tend to get on the trail around 0600 to beat the worst of the heat. Our own Ace Pace wouldn't stop bitching about it when he visited DC a few years back, to put it in perspective for the Israelis

I really don't like some of the contrast here but I'm not sure how to make it look "right".

Yes, they have. A neutral background is usually necessary. Nevertheless, the last pic is still good.
Yeah the middle pic is just... Wow. Ugh.

This thread isn't only for photos, is it? Because all I'm seeing is photographs so far.
Anyway, let's see if my skills are at least half as good as I consider them to be. I recently moved up from doing tiny sketches to doing large A4-sized sketches, and set up a little gallery over at Dropbox for the more successful ones: http://www.dropbox.com/gallery/4152380/ ... s?h=214e30
The ones I like the most so far are these:
Controller Sean 'Jaguar' Mirrsen
Competent Modder, Proficient Programmer, Grand Master RtD GM.
GM of Multiworld Madness, a Roll to Dodge epic.
GM of Space Whaler Escape!, a Roll to Dodge survival/skirmish.
