I can see why they stopped using them. That crap looks like Buck Rogers or Flash Gordon props.

Remember the team in TFF that assualted that shithole town the ambassadors were being held in? They wore sweaters, that's probably why.

Yes, they look like the old British/Canadian combat sweaters. Just in tan.

Compare that to the only real armor we've seen in Trek (the TMP/TUC ones I posted). This looks like a simple field uniform, it certainly didn't do much for this poor sod.

Just use a damn tractor beam. The Federation reactor coil will overheat and shut down trying to escape.

And once you breach the hull, I can take a Fed ship with two Droidekas.

Depending on weather the Droideka's shields will inhibit transporters, and weather they can access the ship's computers.
