When I first read through, I thought it said 222 pounds, not kilos. 222 lbs is already more than what I weigh, and now you want to more than double that? Fuck, I know I don't have the healthiest diet around, but 2 litres of pop, for breakfast? This is crazy!\

Well this as made me start up my exercise program. I'm 5'5" and 150 lbs, so I could loose a little weight.

I must say that I could live off of that pizza she was eating for 3 days.

indeed I could live on the food she ate in a day for about 2 weeks give or take a day.

When I was a kid I would sometimes eat a whole pizza myself but that was usually on a dare or something. But she was eating one whole Pizza a day.

I used to room with a large guy that wouls eat 4 pizza's in one sitting then complain a day or two later that he was gaining weight. He would go on his diets then on the day he meets his goal he orders 4 pizzas(the first time it hqappened I thought he ordered out for the whole apartment) AND THEN EAT THEM ALL IN ONE SITTING.

In her defence, I can eat a whole pizza... Though of course, I refer to your standard 8 slices, and afterwards, I'm absolutely, completely stuffed. It's one of those things you do once in a while, but she's blown it waaaay out of proportion. But then, I guess her entire body is blown way out of proportion as well.

My 8 year old son can eat 1.5 slices of pizza at a meal. Just to give a reference point for what a normal child in that age group is supposed to eat at one sitting. And there's no way he would ever be able to drink an entire 2L bottle of Coca-Cola at one sitting, never mind for breakfast.

Of course, she weighs almost ten times what he does.

How much weight would she lose if she didn't eat for one day? Just for one day?

If I recall, one pound of fat=about 3,000 calories. Most people burn about 2,000 a day, but she would be much more sedentary. And she's younger (however that tips it.)

On the other hand, even though she's sedentary, she has double the mass of a normal person, so she'll use more energy each day doing nothing than someone half her weight doing nothing would use.

Shit, she might be big enough that she might use the equivalent of a pound of fat every day just to stay alive.

Honestly, there are so many crazy fucking variables in this case that I have no fucking clue how much she burns. I was mostly posting the cal./lb ratio in case it might help.

A pound of fat is 3,500 Calories, actually, and a child her age should be buring about 1,000 Calories a day. The average greatly varies on age, weight and gender. Women (depending on their level of activity) should burn 1,500-2,500 with men bruning between 2,000-3,000. She's getting about 10 times the amount she needs with moderate activity.

The thing is, fat tissue requires almost zero energy to maintain. Its not like it has to actually do anything the way muscle or nervous tissue does.

When she moves she'll need more energy than the average person her age, yes. But if she doesn't move very much the difference is too minimal to count. Her heart will require more energy to pump blood around her body, though, just due to her girth. But it's not enough to make it up to 3,500 Calories a day. Either way, she shouldn't be exceeding 2,000, let alone 3,500.

An 800 pound guy would not be able to move under his own power. In fact, people that heavy cannot usually get out of bed.

Have a very nice day.

The Guinness Book of World Records does list some thousand-pound men in the past who were able to move under their own power, albeit barely.

There are variations from person to person in terms of mobility at extreme weight.

well when I worked at McDonalds, we had a guy who came in every day,(at the change over from breakfast to lunch. I guess he wanted to be sure his burgers were fresh off the grill or something) driving an beat up Geo Metro, who would order 40 cheese burgers, 20 hamburgers, 6 Big Macs, 10 orders of fries, and 6 large Diet Cokes(I guess he's trying to conserve somewhere).

The guy was so big that his tiny car leaned towards the driver's side of the car and we were sure that he was eating all that stuff himself. The thing that got me was I'd never be able to eat all that in one sitting.

I could *maybe* see myself eating the 6 Big Macs in one sitting, but that would be eating to a near-vomiting point. The largest meal I ever got at McD is a menu (sandwich, fries and soda) + small chicken mcnuggets, and that I got maybe 2-3 times when I was starving, the meal being my first meal of the day somewhere in the afternoon. And, again, I'm anything but a thin person. That guy must have looked more like one of those beach balls then a regular human shape.

The girl's food intake is obviously abnormal on a clinical level if she just eats and eats and eats with no instinctive off switch, but the abnormally stupid mother with the unlimited junk food did not help things. Responsible parents with children suffering from Prada-Willi keep the kids off a potentially damaging diet and even chain up the fridge (!).

Is there any way they can straighten out her legs? Or is her fucked-up skeleton going to be like that forever?

I'd hate to see what her skin looks like. With such rapid weight loss, it's pretty much guaranteed that they had to remove tent-like pieces of skin in order to keep it from flopping all over the place.
