Most memorable unsung ST episode?

Its ok, but I'd dispute that Seven did the right thing there. Granted Janeway was in her rightous mode, but the 8472 was being hunted for sport by the Hirogen and Janeway was simply trying to send it home. If Seven had simply co-operated in the first place and opened the portal for Janeway, none of this would have happened in the first place.

Remember that Species 8472 had regenerated and attacked the Hirogen. He forfeited his rights when he did.

I've always had an affinity for the fun episodes and sequences. They've sometimes proven to be among the most watchable.

"The Magnificent Ferengi". I like watching Ferengi play with other Ferengi. Keevan was also rather amusing.

"Statistical Probabilities". Again, a fun premise with some fun characters.

"Tinker, Tenor, Doctor, Spy" Gave some fun little stories, all being Doctor-centric.

Hmm, no that I think of it, Voyager had some pretty memorable episodes. It really is a shame so much of it sucked that I cant really seperate the good for the "CrAck in the EvENT Horzion!!!!1!11!1!"

Just watched "In the Pale Moonlight" again recently. I have got to say that Garrak was one of the best reoccuring characters in Trek. He was a mixture of good and evil. Someone you could trust but never turn your back on at the same time. A patriot, and a sneaky spy. So many contradictions, so brilliantly written and portrayed. A very real character.

...yes, after the Hirogen escaped from Sickbay, killed the people guarding the 8472 and was about to kill said 8472. It had a legitement right to self defence at that point.

TOS: Patterns of Force
TNG: Family - my all time favorite which I've seen once and still remember. I don't recall ever seeing it rebroadcast though.

I liked the Lower Decks. Everytime Picard and Riker walk off the bridge I keep waiting for the scene to shift to the Ready Room, then it follows the lower rankers around.

NOW if only they hadn't shown so much of them talking about the higher rankers and trying to figure out what the mystery was. It would have been 500x greater. I mean damnit! If your going to focus on the lower ranks the FOCUS on them...

No what I change my vote.

Lower Decks is best story premise ruined...

For best unsung that episode where the Federation programing was removed from the crew and they acted according to human nature...

From TNG, Masks and Thine Own Self are great. I also liked Data's Day. I love seeing Brent Spiner work. Say what you will about Data's dialogue, Brent Spiner is an excellant actor. It's not his fault the writers sucked so hard.

I loved "Surak" from TNG. It just had such great acting and memorable moments in it. Especially the fight in Ten Forward!

The episode is Sarek. Surak is the Vulcan philosopher.

For TNG, that episode where an alien erases the crew's memories and sends them out to attack their foes' space station. I've always thought that it was a really interesting ep. It also showed how vulnerable the Feds are to nonconventional weapons.

Conundrum was always most memorable to me for that one SFX shot where the Enterprise just brushes aside the attacking fighters with barely a second thought. Yeah, those fighters aren't anything to write home about, but it still looks cool.

I think that's up there with the "Mars Defense Perimeter" shot from BoBW.

A couple TNG episodes stick out in my mind;

The first one is "The Drumhead." I loved how Admiral Satie just went absolutely hysterical at Picard's inquiry..."You who consort with Romulans, how dare you dirty my father's name!" Or something like that. This episode was also one of those budget savers with very little in the way of FX shots.

The other one (I can't remember the title) is the episode where Riker bounces back and forth between the insane asylum and the play he's starring in. It was kind of Twilight Zonish in a way.

Errand of Mercy with the Organians gets my vote though how unsung is up for debate. I really wish they would have done more with the Organians in TNG.
