Actually, you'd have a good case given it should be illegal for military aircraft to use afterburners over populated areas below certain altitudes. A Eurofighter did that off the coast a few months back and damn near made everyone in the county think a bomb had gone off. I'm sure that guy got an arse reaming when he got back to base.

I actually think that wouldn't fly over here (yeah! bad pun!). I work across from a naval air station, and the Super Hornets are constantly flying over office buildings and neighborhoods at burner, doing touch and goes. I swear, I could hit a few of them with a supersoaker. And I've got a ton of other stories of fighters, helos and transports flying at very low altitude around the DC area.
