Don't just point me at a picture thats already been posted you smarmy git; I want to know if this is normal, and an arguably minor hit to an apparently non-volatile area can engulf most of the saucer. Since when did the NDF effect spread so much? Are Mirandas really that outclassed in armour, even compared to (I assume) Cardies?
A penetrating beam on the saucer caused it to spin somewhat. It was a Dominion Heavy Cruiser linking up behind the Masjestic and firing a volley of torpedoes that blew apart the Majestic.

The Cardassians are considered a real threat early in TNG's run. Mirandas are a hundred years old. We've seen entire BoP's NDF'ed in DS9. What do you think?

E-nil, hands down. Especially seeing the name and registry so clearly as the saucer goes up.

I was looking at a SoA clip I've got on my HD and in the scene before the pics we have seen one of the Miranda's is hit by a Dominion beam weapon on its nacelle. It then starts leaking plasma and it the next shot a pulse or a torpedo blows the front third of the saucer off.

Probably the Miiranda's, being older ships didn't receive the shield upgrades to protect against Dominion weapons that DS9 and other newer ships got.
