The Dominion war and Voyeger

Post by Sarevok »

Even after contact was made with the Alpha quadrant the Dominion war was never mentioned on Voyeger. This may seem a bit odd considering that with a massive war being waged at home the crew should have been concerned about the safety of friends and family, some of whom maybe serving in starfleet. My guess is Starfleet intentionaly hid the truth from the Voyegern crew so that they are not stressed and can continue on their mission to return home without worrying about people back home.
I have to tell you something everything I wrote above is a lie.

Actually it was mentioned. So obviously they knew.
History? I love history! First, something happens, then, something else happens! It's so sequential!! Thank you first guy, for writing things down!

Bzzt. There was an episode after they found a way to exchange messages and such, B'lanna, Chakotay and the other maquis were informed that the Cardassians had gained a new ally that went into the badlands and wiped the maquis out.

Also, the EMH-2 mentions the Dominion to The Doctor in Message In A Bottle.

Even though the War was mentioned twice on VGR during the fourth season, we never got to see any glimpse into Starfleet's post-War rebuilding or how the Cardassians were faring; these were questions that would be left to the post-DS9 novels.
