I heard people say Enterprise's 3rd season would be it's last but that didn't happen.
I think they'll drag it on until at least a 5th like the rotten zombie it is.

Only because Trek fans were stupid enough to support it.

You know it DISGUSTS me to no end that these fuckers introduce a nebulous mystery villain then admit they NEVER KNEW WHO HE WAS. :banghead:

C'mon have some fucking decency for your fans you steaming piles of rhino shit, at least plot out the storylines knowing who your main villain is. Its not that fucking hard. Or were they going to play the old popularity contest and listen in on the fans' ruminations and decide then who would be the most 'popular' or 'shocking' choice. No you fuckers you should already know who it is and have crafted your plotlines around dropping hints about his identity.

UGH.

They have no standards at all. Am I glad I gave up on this feeble attempt at drama in Season 1. :finger:

I defy anyone now to tell me that these fuckers actually have any talent.
Wherever you go, there you are.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - Future Guy is Kirk, bcause he want's his Enterprise to be the first starship to bear that name.

On the side note, this was another reason DS9 excelled with the Dominion arc. Behr and the writers knew that sometime down the road, the Feds and the Dominion would be at war and were able to slowly build that up, culminating with Cardassia joining the Gamma Quadrant's fascistic power.

Not to piss you off or anything, but the writers in DS9 took too long and struggled to actually keep their focus. Once they finally hit the Dominion War a lot of the episodes relied on technobabble or outright deus ex machinas for the Federation to win. It just wasn't satisfying.

Then again, at least they attempted long-range planning.

You weren't pissing me off; even I admit that DS9 had its flaws, but at the least the writers knew for the most part where they were going with it.

Okay, from Trektoday, more information on the pitiful attempt at a rommance between T'Pol and Tucker:
A day after news leaked of Jolene Blalock's objections to the T'Pol-Tucker relationship on Star Trek: Enterprise, Connor Trinneer has been quoted as saying "If they're going to do that again, I sure hope they make it evolve."

At UPN's fall press preview in Los Angeles last week, according to Sci Fi Wire, Trinneer said that he liked the developing dynamic between Tucker and Captain Archer and the darker aspects of his character, but expressed some of the same frustration Blalock did about the stop-and-go romance. "If that's going to happen, then make it go in a direction," Trinneer insisted.

Otherwise, he found last season a good experience in terms of character growth. "I think Trip's full of dark, ambiguous stuff," he said. "I think that that's definitely...a part of him beforehand. I don't think that was anything new in terms of my own process about playing him."

As for dealing with Tucker's sister's death in the Xindi attack on Earth at the start of last season, "It's something, of course, that he'd never dealt with on the show before." Playing a combination of what Blalock described as "some catfish-eating honky-tonk guy" and a man coming through a grave personal loss, he said, "makes it more interesting to be funny and tragic."

Further information, one of possible interest for TOS fans.
Star Trek: Enterprise may feature an original series Romulan playing a Vulcan in an early episode this season - Jack Donner, who played Subcommander Tal in the episode "The Enterprise Incicent."

An unnamed source has reported to TrekWeb that Donner may play a Vulcan priest in the episode "Home", which begins shooting this week at Paramount. Reportedly the episode features an arranged marriage planned between T'Pol and another Vulcan.

Donner, who auditioned to play a Romulan Praetor in Star Trek Nemesis, has appeared on many genre television shows including Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Roswell. While the original Star Trek was filming at Paramount, he appeared Mission: Impossible, which filmed on adjacent sound stages.

Earlier reports indicated that producers were looking for a known name to play T'Pol's mother in "Home", and possibly to consider "stunt casting" for her fiance as well. None of the information has been confirmed by Paramount, so it should be treated as rumour.

I know! What the fuck were they thinking? That is one of the single most dishonest tactics I've ever seen a writer use. The whole point about "Future Guy" (and the only actual interest he managed to bring to the table) was based entirely around his identity. Now they're just leaving that unanswered, like the question about how they managed to get a job.

Don't forget, they claimed to have the whole thing mapped out from the start!
UGH.

Me, too. I kept hearing it was improving, but I feel safe in saying that those rumors are done for.

I don't think anyone was ever claiming that.
