Military Assualt Command Operations troops (2380)

After the Dominion War, It became clear that if the Federation was to Survive, it was to need considerable ground forces. Many times over, Starfleet away teams have proven not to be up to muster, as Historian Jason Lee put it Are ground forces are so Laughable, if the Confederate army from the US civil war was transported into our century, earth would be overun in a matter of weeks!. On May second, 2379, the federation Countsol ordered the Restoration of the pre Federation MACO corps. Recruitment Add campaigns became commen place and the Boot Camps were built in Mongolia (Camp Gengus Kahn), Austrailia (Camp McArthur), France (Camp Patton) and the Agrocultural Interior of north america (Camp Lee and Camp Washington). After 13 months, these camps have produced 3.5 Million soldiers.

Combat Uniform-Camoflauge jumpsuit with sholder insignia and nametag, 6 pockets (4 pants, 2 sleve), with belt with holster. Resistant to Tricorder readings. Combat boots next to identical to those of 20th century soldiers.

Helmet-1 cm thick Titanium/carbon Composit helmet, transparent aluminum eyegaurd, resistant to phaser blasts and srapnel. Infared sensors built in along with hud and subspace radio. Weight 800 grams.

Flak Jacket-Overlapping Titanium/carbon composit plates in a fiber woven vest. Resistant to phaser fire.

Weapons-PW44 Pulse Phaser Rifle, This weapon is a Uneque Phaser weapon, as it has two non power settings, Frequentcy and brute force. Frequency is effective against sheilds and organic tissue, Brute force against metal. Three energy settings (Stun, Kill, Max), capable of 20 shots on max, 120 shots on Kill and 5000 shots on stun before power cell must be replaced. Complete with scope and iron sights. Underslung frag/stun grenade launcher. 78 cm long.

PW43 Pulse Phaser Pistol, Standard issue phaser weapon, disigned after 20th century firearms. Brute force and Frequency settings. Three settings, 6 shots on Max, 40 shots on kill, 400 shots on stun with one clip.

Frag Grenade-20th century style cemical based Fragmentation grenade. similer in size and firepower to 20th century frag grenades, complete with pin.

Knife-25cm long tritanium Bowie knife.

Personal EM scrambler-Device that prevents transporters form locking on to MACOs, worn on belt.

PW-2 Pistol-7.4mm magnetic acceleration based pistol, mussle velosity 1.2 km/s, 10 round clip, used against borg.

Squad Level weapons

Tripod mounted type four phaser Cannon-Take the Phaser cannon from the Argo, strap it on a tripod, and power it with a micro fusion reactor with cable power feed, can mantain beem

Morter-45mm morter, frag shells have active kill ratius of 15 meters, max range 3.5 km.

"Skycleaner" AA RPG-60mm rpg launcher, fires mini photon torpedos at oncoming aircraft. Range 2 km.

Vehicles-Combat Argo dune buggy-Take the Argo from nemisis, add armor plating to vunerable spots, elivate gun and allow it rotate 360 degrees.

Squad-8 men with rifles, pistol, 3 rifle clips, 2 pistol clips, 2 frag grenades, 4 stun grenades and knifes, one squad leader with same mix of weapons, 2 people same combenation plus AA missle launcers and 2 missles each, 2 people with pistols, knifes and Mortar, two people with pistols, kifes and Phaser cannon.

The Hazard Teams from the Elite Force PC-games are almost as ggod as MACO from ENT and better armor then your MACO (it ccan used as a spacesuit) and has HUD even without a helmet.

Hazard teams also have personal-shields which compliment their armor.

IIRC that's not correct, I can remermber only Health and Armor bars in HUD. You'll have provide evidence for your claim.

I think Civil War soldiers would be hard pressed to overrun ST Earth. Sure take away the Federations massive advantage in intel, air support, transporters, ect. Then maybe the Civil War armies could defeat the Federation but even then they would take massive casualties.

I mean do you seriously believe the armies of the Civil War could defeat the Federation in ground combat with all the technological advantages the UFP would possess?

The advantage in other technologies that the UFP possesses is so high that the stupidity of their ground combat tactics wouldn't matter in the end.
