Well it's not canon but the Lost Era novel The Art of the Impossible states that D'Deridexes were at Narendra III, according to K'mpec.

Oh, and Hiren is the Praetor who was killed at the beginning of Nemesis.

Another disregard to continuity given that, unless he stepped down from publci pressure, Neral should be running the show as DS9's Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges showed.

Not necessarily. Praetors die, or get replaced. It happened twice in a few days in "Nemesis." That's no more an unavoidable continuity error than the change in uniforms between ST:TMP and TWOK.

Well true. At least it was better than the lack of explanation on the return of Wesley  .

I don't think Wesley's even visible in the (horribly done) 4:3 DVD; from what I've heard the ST execs really snubbed Wil Wheaton when it came to Nemesis.

Hence why the A Time to... book series has to do all the work that Berman and Logan were too lazy to do.

He's visible way off to the side of ONE shot. And he's in the credits.

Actually I've seen far worse DVDs. My only gripe is that they didn't include the trailers. But there are multiple featurettes, galleries and such. And the main menu isn't bad at all.

[rant] That fucking movie, which is an insult to anyone who watched it, cannot be explained by reasoning. That is the only explanation I can think of that does not make me go up the walls. From the little details to the major story-line whoever where the people who actually wrote that piece of crap to the editors should all be placed under arreast, they stole $7 from my pocket and 1 1/2 hours of my life. [/Rant]

Gravitas... No, Don't Help Me, I'll Get It In A Moment...; Gravitas Free Zone, etc "

Another satisfied customer.

About the Wil Wheaton thing: didn't he have more scenes which were of course cut from the theatrical viewing (for obvious reasons, Berman being a sonofabitch), but were supposed to be on the DVD as 'deleted scenes'? What else did it have - assuming it had any extras at all?

Nothing explaining his return just something to the extent of how happy he was to be there I think.

I was rather disapointed by the DVD to some extents. I was expecting more footage and some deleted scenes. We only got like two of note. Maybe the directors cut will be better.

This has what to do with the thread again?

Well I tried coming up with a decent explanation on the origins of the Scimitar on my head, unfortunately what I typed is the only conclusing I got to. Which is: I was robbed. :x
Sad eh?

Yes, very. Now, make me a happy moderator and from now on don't spam technical discussions with "X sucks!". It might be perfectly true, but it has no more bearing on the discussion at hand than a post that says, "I think X is just great! I want to have its babies!"

I heard 45 minutes of footage was cut from Nemesis. The DVD should have included those scenes.
I have to tell you something everything I wrote above is a lie.

It only had 20 minutes or so of extra footage.

Not trying to raise the dead [threads] but I have some news that relates somewhat to the Scimitar.

Some stores already have advance copies of the Tales of the Dominion War Anthology. I bring it up in this thread because, as I've stated earlier, the story "Twilight's Wrath" focuses on one of Shinzon's 12 major engagements of the DW that Data spoke of during the briefing on Remus. While it doesn't go into how Shinzon was able to build or steal the Scimitar, it does reveal how and where Shinzon got his hands on the Thalaron generator (as well as B-4, but that's another story).
