Braga to take a step back

Braga said he felt that the last season was the best of any Star Trek series he had worked on, but noted that Chris Black or Manny Coto might take over some of his responsibilities for the fall season.
well, copper is more valuable than horseshit, but it's still not gold.

considering the article i'm going to remain skeptical until we start seeing trek actually improve as a result of other writers taking over.

Now only if Rick Berman would leave too.

Manny Coto is pretty good. He wrote a lot of good Enterprise episodes. :)

I know someone who has a warehouse full of old typewriters. We can go to the zoo and distribute them . Guaranteed the gibberish coming out would be an improvement.

That's so. But it's still one hell of a step up from a bovine landmine. And if Braga backs of then hopefully so will his influence that's been so much a part of steering Star Trek into the ground. Some of the other writers might not be half bad if given a chance to really work.

But then again the closest I've come to watching Enterprise is my roommate watching it in the next room so I might just be delusionally optomistic.

Who isn't nearly as bad on his own as he is as one of the Gruesome Twosome.

I beg to differ. He's directly responsible for the utterly lethargic music heard throughout much of TNG. Some bullshit about not wanting the music to be too energetic and take away from what's going on on-screen.

Some of the TNG season 1 episodes had good music.

I never accusing him of being great. But working with better people he can still at least create half way decent and entertaining work. And frankly, music is the least of Trek's problems.
