In fairness to Harry, he's an Ops operator, not a scientist. Or a historian. Its unfair to say he's stupid because he thinks it was a hovercar. For someone unfamiliar with history and ancient technology, why is it unreasonable he could have thought of the tyres as landing pads or something?
Voyager summed up in 1 quote:
Neelix: These people dont appreciate what they have! This ship is the match of anything in a hundred lightyears, yet what do they do with it?
(fake voice) Oh, well lets go find some space anomaly today that'll rip it apart!
The "37s" were a fairly good episode. It would be interesting to see what would happen to the human inhabited planet in the delta quadrant in future Trek episodes.
I have to tell you something everything I wrote above is a lie.
Superman wrote:Does anyone else find it odd that Voyager is stuck in a tiny part of an unknown region of the galaxy that is really really REALLY far away from the alpha quadrant and manages to find the only pick up truck?
I find it odd that they keep running into things from the Alpha Quadrant, like the Klingons and the Equinox. They must have been running out of ideas.
Kendall, that was one of my biggest complaints about Voyager. The possibilities should really be limitless: Here is a ship, stranded in an unknown part of the galaxy. They want to get home, but manage to do some exploration at the same time. So what happens? They meet Borg, Klingons, Ferengi, pick up trucks, Amelia Airheart... Can anyone else say "worst writing ever?" Not only that, but every fucking race they run into are vastly inferior. It's like B & B seem to think that the Federation is technologically and morally superior to everyone in the universe.

They ran into Ferengi? I must have missed that episode.

It was in the episode "False Profits". Two Ferengi stranded in a Delta Quadrant planet with a shuttle declared themsevles gods and the natives believed them due to their superior technology.

This wasn't so bad, as the Ferengi were the ones from a TNG episode. I could handle an Alpha Quadrant retread once, maybe twice, but any more than that is just lazy writing.

So what happened to them at the end of the episode, what became of them?

Voyger sent them back to the alpha quadrant.

And Voyager didn't go back with them? Let me guess, they fucked themselves out of getting back.
Voyger stabilized a moving wormhole to sent back the Ferengi. Unfortunately right after the Ferengi entered the wormhole the wormhole was destabilized and Voyger was unable to enter it.

Yeah, they found the ONLY two Ferengi in the Delta Quadrant. That's right, the ONLY two Ferengi in 1/4 of the galaxy. See, this is what I am talking about.

Yeah I see what you mean. They also found the only Klingons, the only other Feddie ship and the only Cardie guided missile in the Delta Quadrant. What are the odds.

And yet despite this they still managed to get beaten all the time, that was even more lame
You can judge the character of a person by what they fear
Howedar wrote:Yes, but it is also an excellent insulator. There is no conductive heating in space, only blackbody radiation. Cooling would be very slow.
If the truck was transported from sitting in on a farm on Earth , right into space would'nt it cool pretty quickly. I have not seen that episode in years, did we ever learn why it was abandon in space like that?
