Hit me permaculture based ideas

I'm playing around with a near-technology small holder boardgame idea.
It's based around permaculture/anarchist/self-sufficiency ideas, but hugely simplified to make it a workable game.
Two examples of ideas are:
Veg Plots -> polytunnel -> Aquaponics -> Entofarmers
Fruit bushes -> ducks -> carp pond -> Chimpanas
I'm interested slightly more in ideas suitable for Wales and its One Planet development rules - so temperate-cool, lush, often steep slopes.
