The soviets develop transistors before WWII (RAR!)

In this scenario, during 1917 a few young Russian scientists begin work on a project studying the properties of germanium and continue on with their work for the next decades. Fifteen years latter their efforts had led to the development of basic prototype transistors which operate similar to those developed in 1948 in OTL and continue to work on developing the idea and ways of manufacturing. The government does not quash these development and enough interested is sparked in this idea push further developments such as their applications in (among other things) radios, as well as further developments in the field (research into the use of Silicon is part of this). In 1937 in the Third Five Year Plan one of the goals is to establish in the Urals a factory which is completed in June of 1939 and begins to manufacture transistor radios and electronics equipment for various uses in the USSR. Output for this initial starts out at 100 Military Radios a day with plans to triple that in three years time with other factories planned as the soviets build more and better machines to produce more equipment and train more people to run them.
