One of the all time greatest coaches in any sport at any level, and architect of one of the most prominent dynasties in any sport at any level.
At 99 years old, it had to happen at some point, but that doesn't make it any less of a bummer. The way coach Wooden was able to remain such a public figure even as his age and health started to work against him was impressive. In the age where people like John Calipari are considered top level coaches, it's easy to be nostalgic for people like Wooden.
