Celebrity lookalikes in daily life

Post by Chmee »

Whoa, that was a big double-take this morning! I stop in at the bakery in our building's lobby for some breakfast, the cashier rings me up and looks up from the register to give me a smile ... and I kid you not, this girl's smile and eyes are Natalie Portman at a Cylon-level of copying, it freaked me OUT! Same skinny build, same face construction, but the eyes and mouth are just uncannily similar.

Any similar lookalikes in your life?

My GF can be mistaken for Sarah McLachlan and Natalie Portman at first glance, she looks more like Sarah these days now that she's filled out.

I know a shitload of lookalikes. To start with, I look a lot like John Lennon, and I also know people who bear striking resemblances to Kate Moss, Lucy Liu, Ian McDiarmid, Audrey Castañeda (Danish comedienne) and my best friend would look exactly like Johnny Depp if he was a bit taller. Said Johnny Depp lookalike also says that a certain girl at our high school looks a lot like Ali Larter, though I do not really see the resemblance. Oh, I also know a guy who looks like a younger Edgar Winter despite not actually having albinism.

Strangely enough, I also know several people who look like Final Fantasy characters - I have a classmate who looks eerily like Tifa Lockheart, and another girl at my high school is a dead ringer for Quistis. (except that she dresses more like Aeris or Yuna) I also know a guy who, if his hair was longer, would look a lot like Sephiroth. He even has a black leather jacket.

When I was in middle school, a lot of kids at my school thought I looked like Daniel Radcliffe, the actor who plays Harry Potter.

I have also gotten that, to the point that several Harry Potter fanboys have mistaken me for the actual character.

Does that mean that Harry Potter looks like John Lennon?

Some people in my neighbourhood apparently think that.

I once saw Darren E. Burrows (or his identical double) at a gas station in Lima, Pennsylvania. It was all I could do to not shout "Hey Ed!"

My sister resembles Samantha Brown.

My workplace has quite a few lookalikes in my building.

There's one guy on the 2nd floor who is an exact match for Richard Biggs (B5's Dr. Franklin). Put him in an EF or Army of Light uniform and it'd be creepy.

We had a Drew Barrymore lookalike, but she left the company about 4 months ago.

There's a guy in Staffing that looks alot like Avery Brooks as Sisko from the late Dominion war eps of DS9, beard and bald look.

My trainer 2 years ago could pass as Samual L "Mace Wendu" Jackson.

One of our ops managers could pass as Bill Murray, circa 1986 "Ghostbusters."

One of the ladies doing case work on the 3rd floor looks like a young Kathleen Turner.

And, best of all, a very friendly and nice girl in Staffing is a dead ringer for Hally Berry. She's taller and a bit bustier, but she could make a living as a celeb impersonator. I make it a point to say hello to her every day. :D

And on the weird side, the guy across from me could easily be Jabba's stand-in, and another older guy across the hall looks like Dobby the House Elf from Chamber of Secrets, minus the ears. Creepy.

When my hair gets truly close cropped I've been told by a full half dozen folks that I look like Timothy McVeigh...don't neccessarily know if that's something I should be scared about or not.

A conman who bore a passing resemblance to Skeet Ulrich managed to convince some rural town in Victoria that he was making a movie there.

That's all I've got though.

I met someone who looks almost exactly like James Callis at a party in Manhattan. The only real difference was that his features were more sharp than Mr. Callis'. However, considering that the host was an actor who'll be on a Sci-Fi Channel production, I urgently had to confirm that this guy wasn't Callis. It turns out that he was a pretty cool guy, who'd probably be at home on SD.net.

My father looks like Bruce Willis.
