Hey Mike here is one last tip you don't deserve. Don't use freeware BB's with known security issues. It could be a painful lesson if the WCOTC or other boards were to figure it out. I was going to release a revised secure phpBB for your site because of that reason. But you squandered any good will I had left for you. I suggest UBB as an alternate.

This is not sarcasm, Azeron has contributed to my education more than anyone else, by this I mean that I spent three whole days just reading media on the EU and other issues, just so as I could put forth intelligent posts. I doubt he's leaving. The fact that he said he'd leave and then continued to reply says to me that he just wants sympathy. I would suggest that he use the straightforward method and stop using those abusive strawman attacks against other members if he wants sympathy.

Look I know that people have some problems with him, and I do agree that both sides should just stop the flames. I too am guilty of having a knee jerk reaction to his posts, and twice I have responded with 'SHUT THE FUCK UP AZERON!', but that's just when I feel that the thread just became meaningless. But I didn't think I was doing anything too bad to make him want to leave.

Come on, these are the actions of a troll. He deliberatly posts inflamitory remarks and a constant stream of strawmen, he is not prepared to debate in an intelligent manner, you sould not feel sympathy for him.

I don't think it's a question of sympathy, but I do believe that because of his posts I educate myself more on the subject when I set myslef in the oposition. I will make the point though that I haven't been in a flame war with him, like others, and since most of his arguments are my dad's (way of thought more than actual context), I like debating him. I don't think either one of us win in the end, it's just if nothing else he posts about topics close to my heart.

Look I don't want to become the defender of Azeron it's just that for better or worse, Azeron has been apart of our little comunity since the begining, and I hate to see anyone leave. Except for that Ariminius donkey fucking bastard, and the rest of his inbred possy, they I could spit on and not bat an eye lid.

I would have preferred that he stay but learn to get along with others. It's one thing to have a few people with whom you have feuds, but with Azeron, it was more like fifty. And despite his protestations, he had very finely honed techniques for enraging people.

No, he showed sparks of intelligence. The problem was that he was so unrelentingly abusive. His habit of wildly exaggerating his opponents' positions into incredibly caricatured strawman distortions made him few friends.

As I said, I wasn't about to ban him. Having him leave was not an ideal situation either. However, having him stay and continue to be abusive was hardly any better! The ideal situation would have been for him to cool it with the blizzard of strawman attacks, the "loaded question" polls, and the other infuriating and completely unreasonable things he did in the guise of "debating". He knew perfectly well that they pissed people off, and he did it anyway. As you say, he was smart enough to know what effect his tactics had on people. This makes him a classic troll; he must have been intentionally trying to piss people off.
